06 lancer es timing belt question
my father has a 2006 lancer es automatic just the basic engine. He does not abuse and drives like a turtle. Coming up on 60k -i hear 60k and 100k for timing belt replacements.
he wants to get the timing & serp belts done, water pump done at the dealer.
**question is if it is really needed on the lancers at 60k? and when done is their anything more or less then should be replaced?
i know its a different car but the chevy aveos(koren junk) recommends 60k and i have seen very few make it to 70k with out being towed in for a broken belt
thnaks guys

in reality you can probably get to 100k no problem, i would say to get it taken care of at your earliest convenience though when you have the funds. also where are located? you can probably find a better and cheaper place than the dealer to get it done at.

06 Ralliart owner 2.4 Mivec and timing belt service is to be done a at 97k to be exact. Im going on 115k and still running the original timing belt but it's getting done in the next couple weeks. When this service is done you should replace the following. This is for a 2006 Ralliart.
Timing tensioner pulley
Timing Idler Pulley
Timing Auto Tensioner
Timing Belt
Balance Belt
Balance Belt Tensioner Pulley
Water pump & Gaskets
AMSOIL-LANCER
