So excited to tell other Lancer owners about this fairly easy fix. Do you remember how zippy the Lancer was when you bought it???? How the gas mileage was better??

Simple - when that big belt gets replaced (it is due for it) replace the smaller belt - altenator belt at the very bottom. Husband did it - a little difficult but you can do them both.

WOW - my alternator had not been getting the juice to the spark plugs!!!

Mileage increased 4mpg and I can now dash out to make a left turn like I could when I bought it. I never knew the alternator belt on a lancer would make the difference.

I have also replaced the spark plug wires and made an improvement - but NOTHING like the Alternator belt. Now my 18 yr old son wants to drive it because it is fun again. I hope this helps~!!!!!
