2003 Lancer/OZ Ignition Switch
My daughters OZ Rally no longer starts easily like it was new. >120K miles and I have discovered if I use enough physical force on the ignition switch when starting the engine, it starts every time. My daughter however is not accustoned to this sort of effort and thus the start to attempt ratio is really low. I believe the problem is the Ignition Switch. Any factual information out there on this one since daddy doesn't cost $125/hr labor plus parts for a college bound young adult? Thanks. Car is a 2003 Lancer OZ Rally, 4D, Auto (with the well known heater control problem due to a very poor design we don't want to talk about...) Again, thanks.
