Default 2005 lancer es-no timing belt?

Was looking at purchasing this vehicle, having never owned a Mitsubishi before i had emailed some questions including if the timing belt had been changed and the reply was there is no timing belt,the valves are mechanical, is this correct?Thank you

2002-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer for USA market all have a timing belt. Mitsu recommends replacing it every 60,000 miles. 2008-UP Lancers have a timing chain.
