I live in Indianapolis and may be buying a 2008 GTS as early this week. Quick question, can you have someone like a best buy or something that can by-pass the DVD indash and play all the time even if you are not stopped? or better yet can you buy a portable dvd and plut it into the video and audio inputs under the NAVI system?

 

I believe Best Buy technician are pretty good with it. I prefer using the cigarette lighter as a power source for my dvd. remember those wirings are connected to your steering wheel and Mitsu design the system for anti after market cd player or you cant just buy car stereo and just put them on. That's why they put a 650 watts system on their cars.

A solution has been found in this thread: https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_222824..._1/key_/tm.htm. There is an iso you have to download and burn to cd. this can then be put into the cd player in the lancer, update the software, and voila.
