Default 2008 Lancer P1773

Hi to all, I recently came across this vehicle with initially a check engine and ABS light coming on. I scanned it using the MUT-III and the codes were P1773 and C1014 (FL Wheel Speed Sensor Performance). I cleared the codes but the P1773 would not clear. I test drove the vehcle and the ABS light came back on. I did a live data session and found out that indeed the FL wheel speed sensor was giving erratic signals (fluctuating speed readings). I had all of the four sensors cleaned and again did a live data session. This time the FL wheel speed sensor was sending out the correct speed and more or less in-sync with the other three. I test drove the vehicle and the ABS light did not come on anymore. BUT, the check engine light still won't go off even after repeated clearing of the error codes and still it is P1773. On the systems list in the MUT-III, the code is coming from the AT/CVT/A-MT/TC-SST system and the description of the error is this: P1773 - ABS/ASC Information. When I tried to clear the code from within this system, I get a NO RESPONSE FROM ECU error that is why the check engine light won't go off. Has anyone encountered this type of problem before?

Update...it us OK now. I entered calibration mode and after it was done, I cycled the ignition OFF and then ON and the check engine light was off.

I'm having the same problem as you had above.

I replaced the defective sensor and the "ABS Service Required" light went away, but the CEL of P1773 is still there and my ScanGauge II isn't able to clear it.

How did you enter calibration mode?
