Default A/C compressor clutch not engaging

I noticed my a/c wasn't blowing cold air all the time. The system has no leaks and is full of refrigerant. I noticed that the a/c clutch engages sometimes and it blows cold air, but after a short time it disengages. Any solutions? It is a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer ralliart.

Things to try:

1) You have a low and high pressure switches that controls the ac clutch operation. Use manifold gauges to determine what the problems are, or see below for generic statements. a)The low pressure switch is designed to cut off the AC clutch at about 25psi. If the system is freezing up, your problem will be the accumulator icing up. b) The high pressure switch will cut off the AC clutch at about 300psi. Check and see if the cooling fan motor is coming on. If it isn't working the AC condenser will overheat causing excessive high side pressure.
2) If the AC clutch is not engaging due to a weak compressor coil smack the compressor clutch with a rubber mallet to see if it reengages.
3) Intermittent AC relay - Swap out relays.
4) The switch on the dash can also be intermittent, try bypassing it temporarily.
5) Perhaps that the wiring is intermittent. Have you tried to re-seat the wires on the clutch?

A/C relay is in the underbonnet fuse box. No such thing as an high or low side relay.

What is your fault with your A/C? This is an old thread

Default relay location

Can't find other threads. A/C ran when parked in July, wouldn't come on in Sept. Tried recharge and it's showing in red zone,(Needs recharge) but compressor won't kick in..Reason I need to know where relay switch is I want to jumper it to start the compressor and recharge. Alternatively I could jumper the relay in fuse box,but which terminals do i jumper? I could recharge in the past with other vehicles, but now they have a failsafe system in place which cuts off the compressor.
