Default engine fires

I used to have a 2003 lancer OZ edition......this morning the engine caught on fire and i believe the car is a total loss....waitin for insurance ppl now..... were there any recalls i missed? or do any of you guys experienced this? or know what may have caused this?........catalyst converter was swapped out a few years back.... any feedback would be helpfull thanks......

pm me your vin and i'll run it through mitsubishis web site. the cat gets really hot but it wouldnt start a fire unless there is something under there that it would catch fire on (oil, fuel, paper etc)

Hahaha I rarely do that lol. I thought about it when I wrote it "Wow, thats kinda pointless... but kinda funny" lol oh well.
