Default Fuel Filter

Where have they hidden it?

Just recently got a 1997 Lancer 1.6 GLi Estate (European model), which runs on petrol & LPG.
It runs fine on LPG but if we switch to petrol then it runs a bit rough. It idles reasonably fine but if you accelerate that's when it really starts. The engine holds back and the acceleration is poor.

I'm guessing the fuel filter is clogged, but the trouble is I don't know where it lives.

So does anyone know where to find it?!

So is it like a miss in the engine, I had this in my GSX and it was the airfuel mixture.

One thing though, where is the fuel filter, can it be cleaned and reused, or am I better of just getting a new one?

don't know about the euro version but i think (someone correct if I'm wrong) the stateside version is on the firewall. manufacturer claims to check and replace every 30k mi or so. I wud say no less than 50k. being a duel fuel setup it may be entirely different than what we have here. Hope I help some tho.
