Default Modification of MR cluster to Gli lancer instrumental panel

I need help. Need advice from you guys out there.

I'm currently driving a Gli CE lancer 4dr 1.8L sedan. My car do not have a tachometer on the cluster, and recently i came across a good offer. A MR crashed and the owner is trying to sell all the working parts. This cluster has a tachometer on the left, speedometer on the center and fuel, temp on the right. The dimensions given is 32cm wide, 15.5cm high, 11cm bottom width and 6cm width.

My car has the fuel meter on the left, speedometer on the center and the temp on the right. So was wondering whether any good advice on will the MR cluster fit into my instrumental oanel nicely.

And if yes it does, is the connection for the tachometer be messy?

Thanks to all who reply...

I dunno specifically about sizing the instrumentation but as far as converting there should be no problem. My question to you is - isn't it a lot less painstaking to just buy an aftermarket tach?

yes i've thought abt buying an aftermarket tacho. But the tacho that i came across is just aud30 bucks. So much cheaper than a aftermarket. And i can also modify it to those illuminated cluster background. So madmat, you reckon that it fits?

I dunno about the fit but if it doesn't you could always trim. the guages themself should all fit in your panel. do you have autoparts stores like autozone or napa in oz? an aftermarket tach is about US$20
