How to and where is fuel filter?
Where is the fuel filter on an 04 Lancer Wagon and how do you replace it? I found 3 aftermarket filters at Autozone for about $80 each but don't know if I should buy one, which one, where it is or how to install. help!!!
Thanks

That year of vehicle fuel filter is a "lifetime" unit. It's engineered to go about 150,000 mi or more, there is no recommended service interval. You could change it if you have more than that but don't really need to unless there's problems.
You might find also that it's engineered to be very hard to change, like buried way down at the bottom of the engine compartment. The factories started doing that when everyone went to lifetime filters to discourage repair shop merchandising.
