RE: I need help!!!
I am not sure if the Mistu engine will shut off or the piston willstop running if your timing belt broke. but if the car was stillrunning when itbroke then you have a major problem.
here it goes, ready?
Open it up the engine again.
Pull out every piston and check for cracks and replace the damage one. after that adjust valve timing, etc etc.
if you fix that check the water pump, oil seal, crank seak if there is any leak and check the radiator fluid too. Changed the serpentine belt and alternator belt (if you have one)
That's it
It sounds more easier if you have a lifter and garage with heat. GOOD LUCK

Why do all that when u can do a compression test and if one cylinder is low do a cylinder leak test and see where its leaking from.

RE: I need help!!!
I was trying if he can Overhaul the engine. he said his car is 94 Lancer.
It might need a major overhaul or engine rebuilt. He never mentioned if he already done the 150,000 miles check up
But you are right about that..

RE: I need help!!!
Thanks guys, the cars done 100,000 miles. I don't think it was a bent valve after all. We replaced the fuel filter as that was clogged as well and the cars running better, looks like a coincedence of a bad batch of fuel at the same timemaybe. There's still a slight ticking noise though and compression is low on 3 out of 4 cylinders. Could this be valve seat wear after 100,000 miles? Any way we will run the fuel down and put clean fuel in and see if that helps but fuel still doesn't explain the ticking and low compression.
