Anyone know why the insurance quotes for this car is soo high? Compared to other more sportier cars, luxury cars, 2 doored cars out there. It had more expensive rates.

I'm actually going from a 99 Mazda (total) to a 08 Lancer and my insurance actually DROPPED from $150 to $120. Your best bet is to probably just speak to an insurance rep personally.

I would not worry to much, if anything like stated above, your insurance should drop, this is a new vehicle with many new safety features that insurances love.

Insurance cost varies from the insured driver's length of experience, DMV records, where you park, and state.

For me, my NY license is just less than a year, so it is expected that my insurer will consider me as a risk driver, so Geico gave me a hefty $260+ a month for six months. I've got no choice but act like a cave man. lol
