my girl and i just bought a 2004 lancer. i saw on the internet that a guy was selling a ev8 engine complete with turbo for $3000. is $3000 a good price to pay for the motor? and also can it be done? and i also need to know what the bolt pattern is for a lancer. i just bought some rims and wondered if itll fit

if you purchased a 04 ralliart lancer then yes the evo will match your bolt pattern of 5x114.3. if you have the es or ls than you will have 4x100, which is not the same. yes the evo's 4g63 will fit with modifications. if your doing the work your self go for it. if your planning on having a shop do the swap than it would of been cheaper to just buy a evo. you can good deals on evo motors at www.flashoptions.com . i have a 03 lancer with the 2.0 liter motor and turbo charged it my self; its pretty easy and suggest you look into that first. www.roadracemotorsports.com has the turbo kit for your car. any more questions just hit me up on aim teamlancernw</P>
