Default MZ360272EX Remote engine start problem

Hello,
I have 2009 Lancer 1.8 CVT. I bought remote engine start from E-bay. I put it to my car correctly I am sure abut it. I’m trying to program the remote and everything works as it should but at the end of the key programing the doors are supposed to lock and unlock twice and then the programing is complete. This part is not happening any guidance on what to do would be greatly appreciated ?

Wonder how you changed frequency for the remote starter. My seems to be faulty as it will only start if I am literally infront of my car, and doesn’t work all the time. I changed my car battery and it hasn’t worked the same since.

have you changed the battery in the fob or just in the vehicle? A battery change won’t change any frequencies and if it starts when you’re in front of the vehicle then it is getting the signal out but it sounds like the signal is weak. Replace battery in remote.

Yes I have changed the remote fobs batteries. The only other thing I can think of is, this fall I had my car detailed, I had taken out my two front seats. I connected everything up, but wondering if this would have triggered something.
