No, if you want to buy an evo5 you can just, simply buy and evo5. Bodykits have nothing to do with the numbers. the numbers mean which model the evolution is. in your case the Evo5 would be the 1998 version of the Lancer Evolution. And the new 2003 is the Evo8. hope that helps.
