Default New to the Forum and to Lancers

Just bought my first Mitsubishi actually

I had been an avid Honda driver for the last 10 years or so, But after the the Accord I had broke and spun me out, I had to find something new. I eventually came across a 2003 Lancer, after driving it for about 5 minutes I was hooked.

so I bought it! I may post some pics down the road of it sometime this summer, for now though I'm just getting used to it and trying to find a new forum home to replace the Honda forum I had been going to.

I had tried at first another Mitsubishi forum, But there really wasn't enough traffic or activity on the board (I tend to post just about any question I might think up) and my questions were taking days for a response.

I found this forum and it looks a bit more active than the other, so I thought I would give it a shot.
Of course, I already know a lot of modifications I would like to do to the car.

The very first thing I did was to get some different rims, lol those little donuts that came stock were really ugly to me. I replaced them with some 17 inch gun metal Motegi rims and it looks much much nicer now.

The windows are already tinted dark enough for my tastes so that works perfectly! The next thing I want to do is get rid of the stock grille insert for something more like this..

The problem though has been finding a good site with decent pricing.

After that I would like to change out the factory tail lights, I was thinking possibly gun metal to go with the rims. The car is kinda dark red, I'm open to opinions to what type of light or style would look best. I've seen chrome, carbon fiber, black, EVO style etc etc etc. hell who knows which to pick?!

I am also looking to replace the exaust and possibly add a cold air intake.

the exaust though, I would really rather not get a huge annoying loud muffler, I want something that is going to sound a bit different than all the kids around here doing 10 mph and sounding like they are doing about 70.

something with a little bit more character to it. any suggestions on a unique sounding muffler are appreciated.

Those are pretty much my goals for the car at this point, later down the road I intend on buying a body kit and perhaps doing a few engine mods. I don't need a race car or anything, I want it to look fast, it doesnt really need to be fast - lol. besides, how fast am I going to go with a wife and three kids in the back

I have a 02 lancer oz rally. I've got a Magnaflow exhaust installed and am very pleased with it. I'ts just what your looking for if you want a nice tone ... (not to much noise). Quality is very good in my opinion..
