i have a 02 lancer OZ with 134000 miles and my oil light flickers/stayes on solid when im idling after the car has warmed up, obviously the oil is getting this and what not and the high mileage is not helping but does anyone know of any TSB's or seen this before and have any ideas of what it is????? thanks

it could be as simple as the oil pressure sensor being bad.

i had one go out on a suburban at about 100K miles.

if it is not an expensive part and not difficult to get at , go ahead and change it.

i think that would be a good starting point.

If the engine has lasted being driven with the light on, then it's obvious to me that it isn't an accurate reading. So on those grounds I say it is the sensor.
