Maybe somebody can advise me regarding this:
I have a 2003 Lancer OZ Rally, in top shape, only 28k miles, runs beautifully, but on the freeway if I'm traveling around 80-85 (sometimes on cruise control, sometimes not), it always gets only about 23-24 MPG. Is this normal, or should I have it checked out? The funny thing is in the city it gets at least 27-29.

I have a 05 Lancer ES with some mods and i get the same thing i have been told its how you drive because a lancers powerband is above 3k rpm i know that in the city as long as i am not racing alot then i get about 27 as well but i know if i am going about 80-85 my rpms are usually over 3k so therefore using a little more fuel then normal so as long as you keep under 3k rpm you should be gettin good miles on a tank
