I just changed out the battery and cant get the radio to turn back on.... Has anyone else out there ran in to that problem? I have a 02 Lancer OZ...

 

Never had that problem but did you check your fuses to make sure you didn't accidentally short anything out?

if its not the fuse, does it do anything at all, cuz maybe you have the security feature in it and need the code. If its the stock radio that is.

 

stock mitsu radios have a secruity feature on them. when they are not supplied with any power they go into the security mode the lcd screen on the radio should ask you for a code to input. what you have to do is pull the radio. on top of the radio is a white tag and it has a serial number on it. call your local dealer and give them the numer they will supply you with the code.

 

hmmm, I had disconnected my battery numerous times for more than 15 mins with my stock radio still and never had this issue. Is it only certain models that had this feature?

 

Probably, cuz ive had a couple hyundai's that are the same way except one has it and the other doesnt

 

i own a 04 lacer sportback ralliart. and very time i toy with it i need to input the code. same as with my boys evo.

 

You know I checked the fuse panel and there wasnt a fuse in the slot for the radio...I noticed there is a fuse on the pos cable to my battery, could that be the radio fuse? I hope they dont try and charge me to reset my radio,
