There is no 'e' on the end of Bosch. Anyways, they SUCK.

I don't know how much the stock cat goes for on that car.

High flow cats are a crock of **** too. A test pipe is just a piece of metal pipe to go in place of the cat. This will keep the check engine light on.
so i read this post that shows how to remove the cel when you have a test pipe/hi flow cat,
does it really work?
https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_94383/tm.htm

because in that case i would rather put a cheap test pipe than wasting a lot of money in a oem cat.

or not?

damn this code!! [:'(]

It wasnt intended to call you out, im just a **** about that **** : ) It was a note for future, thats all lol.

Im not sure if that will work for your car, it has worked for DSMs though. If you did this, your car wouldn't pass emissions by the way.

No it doesn't harm the car at all. It might harm your gas mileage a decent amount though.

Dont mention it, its what we are here for.

Okay my mom has an 02 Lancer ES giving the same p0421 and p0135. So I purchased the bosch o2 sensors (we had a fire not to long ago and money is short), and I am assuming the cat is shot. Now, I understand there are two cats???? one at the manifold and another underneath the car at the exhaust. I am here in SanAntonio for another week and half and then back to Orlando, and I would like to get this done for my mom and as cheap as possible (being able to stayaway from mitsu dealer) given her financial situation (and I am in college and broke also hencewhy I can't help $$$her out). Ifanybody can help me in knowing exactly what to replace and buy (this car is stock, not worried about upgrading just want it back to normal so my momcan have a piece of mind)> I would greatlyappreciate any help you guys can give so I can get the parts ordered and on the car.
