LOL mine is the same way. Im sure you could design your own electrical resistance circuit.

If air volume is weak, perhaps you can check into your AC/cabin filter. If it is blocked with debris, i will strict the airflow coming from the fan. I don't quite remember if the Lancer has one, but i'm fairly certain that the Outlander does. This cabin HEPA filter is a maintenance item and is NOT covered under warranty. Good Luck!

If the lancer does have one, where do I try to locate it? I've already checked the "normal" air filter and cleaned it off...but I don't know if there's two filters or just that one. If not, then yes, the settings do suck.

Hahah, I wouldn't know where to start. Wouldn't that void the warranty anyway?

Who gives a **** anyway. Mitsu hardly ever fixes crap under warrenty so screw it.

It would be really simple to do really. Just remove their resistance circuit from the contacts of the switch and go down to an electrical store and get some resistors and begin!

Look in your owners manual to see if your car has one...if it does, that will tell you where it is located and what part number to replace it with.
My car had no problems found except they evapped the r112 and put in new stuff with the addition of a dye to ensure there weren't any leaks. Oh well, it blows a little better now. I'll check my cabin filter anyway to see if it's clogged- with all the dust and dirt in SoCal I'm sure it's dirty.

If it were to have one, it would be located in the area behind the glovebox just above the actual blower motor. The "normal" air filter located in the engine compartment is strictly for the engine's intake and has nothing to do with filtering the air inside of the cabin.
