it stats fine will run for about 5 minutes then stalls. so next thing i know im in traffic trying to start it. it starts easy , runs for about 3 seconds and dies. it will restart and run good for 3 sec and die over and over. i was told it was the crankshaft position sensor. i spend 95 bucks i didnt have and it didnt fix it. please help thx

 

diagnose problems before replacing things.

 

i did . took it to a shop they gave me an erro code and said it was the crankshaft sensor

 

but its not fixed?
Take it back and get your money back. Thats bad diagnosis.

Sounds like some electrical ****.
Full diagnostics, compression test, spark check, then you know its some electrical ****.

 

Could be an o2 sensor, had the same problem when I got my 2000 mirage
