Can anyone tell me the engine code for a 97 Mirage LS 4 dr? Thanks.

 

97 Mirage 4drs came in 2 trims:

DE - 4g15 1.5L 12 valve SOHC
ES - 4g93 1.8L 16 valve SOHC

LS's were coupes only, ES's were sedans only up until 2002 I think, then they all switched over to LS for either coupe or sedan.

 

i dont know if thats right. im pretty sure that my engine code is 4g93 and i have a 4dr ls

 

I might have em switched, I know they did something funky with the trim packages as the 5th generation came to a close. Long and short of it though, if it's not a DE, it's got a 1.8 in it and life is much simpler for you.
