I've paired my Alcatel flip phone with the system. Everything works ok. I can bring up my contacts on the screen. Touch the one I want to call and speak hands free. Also, if an incoming call shows up I can press the phone button on the str wheel and speak hands free. The one thing I can't do is voice activation. Like "call home". When I press that button on the str wheel it says "function not supported". Bluetooth is on. All I can think of is the system just doesn't work with my phone. Any ideas.

 

Give us some more information. What car is it? Whay year? What radio? What country are you in? What model phone is it?

 

It's a 2017 Mirage g4. I'm in the USA.. Radio model# is mgnr8 r8-8-na. Phone is an Alcatel flip phone kaios.

Thanks for that info but I checked it out before. The problem may be related to Google Assistant. When I enable it it's supposed to "listen" and follow my command like "call home". However it says back to me "can't make calls at this time". So I got some more digging to do. Thanks for the effort.
