"D" light on my Gauge cluster
Guys, can someone help me on my D light in the instrument panel...all the lights are working(P, R, N, 2L) except for D.
Does it has a seperate bulb??? How to change DIY. Thanks |
RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
Yes, it is a separate light bulb. This is fairly common since the "D" bulb is used the most often.

Thanks winshawn, is it easy to replace DIY. Is the bulb the same with compass guage?? Any part no.?

RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
I do not know the part no. Just go in and take the light from gear no 1 and put it in the D spot.[8D]

Good idea!
I got a handful spare bulbs from the local scrap merchant for next to nothing. The cluster comes out easily, give it a go. Anton |
RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
Just had the 4wd and the ABS lights fixed on the transmission, They were flashing and there were switches replaced that sit on the transmission. Now I notice after the work that my "D" light does not light up. Is this too a bulb problem or could they (dealer) screwed up somthing up?
Thax:eek: |

RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
My wife's Montero has the same problem. The D light and the light representing rear pass. wheel are both out. What do I need to remove to get access to this area?

RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
Year & Model of vehicle might be helpful...
I suspect however the guage cluster will need to be disassembled to some degree. Shouldn't be too hard. Not too many moving parts there that you will disassemble. |
RE: "D" light on my Gauge cluster
Sorry. It's a 2001 Montero Limited.
