just buy a new stereo, even the cheap no name ones are better, plays mp3, aux input etc.

but if you really wnt the code..

NO ONE HERE can give it to you, because its unique. you get it by getting the serial # on the radio.

and guess how you do that, but putting the labor in removing the panel, pulling the stock unit out and get the serial #, but agian you are already half way in installing a better unit might as well.

but if you wish to continue, after you get the serial #, go/call a mitsu dealership and HOPE they dont charge you for the code. because if they do, again look into the option of just getting an aftermarket one.

if you wish to have the dealership do everything from start to finish, well lets just say the amount youwill be paying them will cost about as much as a "Brand name" cheap deck, yet still has better features/sounding then stock.

Mine also has the Infinity system...In all honesty it is a piece of junk, cannot be compared to the Infinity that came with my wife's 2002 Grand Cherokee, which sounds so much better. The one on the Monty sounds cheap. Probably the best thing will be to upgrade if you can afford it.

the radio is very easy to pull out on the montero. just get the serial # off of it. if your dealer wont give you the code, post it here or send me a private message with the serial number and i will get it for you.

Damn I took mine to the dealer and they charged me $40 total.
Not to bad. I have the code saved now.
I agree that the sound quality could be better.

No you have to pull the radio and get the serial #.

"pulling" the radio is so easy. you have to do some prying here and there, if you cant handle that then your in trouble.

2 screws securing the bezel by the info screen. pry out the panel, remove harness for hazards. then 4 screws holding the bracket down. then you can pull the radio out.
