Car stars, but wont idle. If you gas it it will drive. But once you stop, it dies. Just installed new battery yesterday. Im thinking fuel filter.

 

Does the idle problem happen when the engine cold, hot or both? When you say it drives, does it hesitate or all runs normal? Check engine light ON? When was the last time you changed the air filter and cleaned the throttle body?
