1990 Mitsubishi Montero: MAP/MAF Sensor Problems?
I've been in contact with a seller who has a 1990 Mitsubishi Montero - he said he's selling it so he can get a more economical vehicle for his wife. Long story short, he said it experiences sporadic bouts of hesitation and surging around 50-55 mph. After taking it to a local Mitsubishi dealer for diagnosis, he claimed they suggested he replace the MAF and suggested a problem with the Barometic Pressure Sensor, which apparently is the same as a MAP sensor.
Long story short, I can't find any MAP or Barometic Pressure sensors for the 1990 Mitsubishi Montero. They're easily found for 1992+ models, but I'm starting to wonder if there was even a MAP sensor on the 1990 Montero. Can anyone tell me if that's the case or not? And if they do exist, where the heck do you buy one? I suppose it's possible that there's a MAP sensor for another Mitsubishi/Chrylser vehicle I can use in it's place. Thanks in advance for the help, I appreciate it!
