Ok, so I'm a sucker for the old school boxy looking 4x4's and just towed home a 1991 Monty project. Not even sure if its an LS, RS (or just plain old BS at this point! ) Does anyone know how the last year Gen I (1991) and the first year Gen II(1992) match up ? In other words, how close in manufacturing would they be? I'm looking to knock the teenager (metaphorically speaking ) out of my previously "murdered out" 1991 LWB Monty and use the complete interior from an available 1992. I also need to replace the auto tranny and whatever else I can salvage. The 92'is in good overall shape, just has a blown motor. I'm also looking for any help, ideas for a good, trail worthy "budget" lift.
