Default 1993 3.0 to 3.5 powertrain switch?

I have a 93 montero SR 3.0 with a bad engine and trans and wonder how tough it would be to swap out the whole train to a 3.5 which was standard SR in 94. they (3.5's) seem to be more available and more powerful. Anyone out there have any thoughts on what I might be getting myself into?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Not sure on how hard the swap is, but since both engines share almost the same block...it may not be very difficult. About as hard as any other engine swap. The transmission is different Story. Is your 93 a 4x4?

Thanks for feedback.....yes it's a 4x4. the transmissions I have seen for sale on Ebay iinclude torque converter and transfer case. I'm really uncertain about the computer and electronics stuff which do not come with the new motor (looks like everything else does), especially due to the DOHC - SOHC difference. I think I may be biting off more than a greenhorn like myself can handle.
Thanks again
