1994 Montero Electrical issues
Hello everyone. I had my engine on my 94 montore replaced couple years and I noticed that the part that is pictured here had cracked when they have done the job. I remember there being a thin slice of metal where the arrow is indicating.
Yesterday when I was driving it just turned off and won't start back on. I turn the ignition and it just makes a ignition turning sounds but will not start.
I don't know much of electric parts of the car, but I know the thin metal piece is missing from that part.
Will replacing part make my car start back again? Am I on the right track even?

I had that exact experience, but mine was with the CAMSHAFT position sensor. The Brain is not getting the TDC info on Cylinder 1 that it needs to time the firing of the spark plugs, and the fuel injectors so both get shut down. I replaced my sensor, and it started right up with no issue.
I attached some troubleshooting info from my 1995 LS , hope it helps.

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is a Hall Element type unit which sends signals to the ECM which are used to determine ignition and injector timing.

Testing of the Crankshaft Position Sensor (also known as a Crank Angle Sensor) without Scan Tool:
Testing of the sensor involves testing of the harness. If the harness tests properly and there is an abnormality in the crankshaft position sensor system, then the sensor should be replaced. Trouble code 22 - Crankshaft Position Sensor.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS:
1.If an impact is suddenly felt during driving or the engine suddenly stalls during idling, try shaking the crankshaft position sensor during idling. If the engine stalls, the cause is probably improper or incomplete contact of the crankshaft position sensor's connector.

2.If the crankshaft position sensor output rpm is 0 rpm during cranking when the engine cannot be started, the cause is probably a malfunction of the crankshaft position sensor or a broken timing belt.
