Default 1995 montero

I have a 1995 Montero 3.5L it has a 3 coil plug system. It there any way I can change that to something different. It doesn't need new coils just like to play around with something new. Thanks

why on earth would you re-engineer a perfectly functioning, reliable, powerful, modern ignition system?

There has to be a cheaper way coils are $80.00 pop $240.00 to replace all three. Just wanting to know if you could.

coils almost never fail. and you really think 80 bucks is expensive?
