We bought this car last night and we are scared that we didn't check it out like we should have it has 140000 miles on it traded in at a dealer ship so we don't know the orig. owners. what should we do first to check this car out now that it's ours

 

Congrats on the truck. Get a full service done on it, especially if you're planning on keeping it for a while. Things to get sorted:

- Timing belt
- Tensioner assembly
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Radiator hoses
- PCV valve
- Valve cover gaskets
- Clean throttle body and MAF sensor
- Oil change
- Coolant flush
- New brake fluid
- Change front and rear differential fluid
- Change transfer case fluid
- New air filter

Make sure to check wear and tear items too; pads and rotors, condition of tires, make sure the shocks aren't leaking, etc.
