2001 Montero Sport 3.5. Help with timing belt and water pump.
Hey guys, I need help with replacing the water pump and timing belt. I tried YouTube but no luck. Does anyone have a video step-by-step on replacing the belt and the pump????

Unfortunately there are no step by step videos on this subject that anyone here is aware of. There is , however, a whole thread stickied at the top of this forum for Timing Belt and Water Pump help. Give that whole thread a read through, and if you still have questions, we will be happy to help.
You can give it a read through here: https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mi...ng-belt-31214/
Edit:
While the thread is for a 2002 Montero, the steps and advice are still applicable to your model.

There might be no video specific to a 2001 model year timing belt replacement. But you can check out other videos for older versions of Montero. The steps and process will be very similar. It will help you to understand sequence of needed steps, tools required, etc. Then, as suggested above, read through the Timing Belt section of the forum.
Here is a video forcsetting timing on 2002 3.5 Montero Sport:

Nice info HunterD !!!
The YouTube video has a link in the description where to order the kit and a couple additional part if you need them.
I've been procrastinating for some time now worried about getting the right parts. Here's the link.

Thanks HunterD,
I'm ordering mine.
