Does anyone know what to do about a p1610 code? Bought my montero sport and it went start...cranks but nothing else... anyway to fix it without going to the dealership and spending a bunch of money on it

 

Its an issue with immobilizer system. Could be because wrong key was used too many times, or a Immobilizer module went out. Don't have a specific diagram for Montero Sport, but check the link below to get an idea of what to check to see if your module is out:
