Default 2001 Montero XLS Cruise control, not working

I brought car to reputable shop to have some work done. I need a new valve cover, gaskets and crankshaft seals, radiator, and hoses, new oil pan. (Long story), timing, belt, serpentine, belt, all fluids changed, and water pump when they did the timing belt. They also replace spark plugs and wires and oxygen sensor.

When I got the truck back, everything works fine except for the cruise control. It did work when I brought it to them, but it does not work now. I am assuming that they removed the connector somewhere and didn’t plug it back in. I cannot figure out where it is.. is anyone familiar with the cruise control and what might they have done to make it not work? They certainly had the top of the engine apart and I immediately assume they just forgot to connect something. I brought it back to them and they could not find it in one hour and I had to leave.

With all of this said, I’m hoping someone on this thread might be able to tell me where to look. I could not even find which fuse it might be in a fuse box. That’s also one of the first things that comes to my mind.

Any thoughts and advice are welcome

this truck has 270,000 miles on her and she’s still running strong. If you own one of these, and take good care of it, she will take care of you. I hope to get 10 more years out of it.

Montero cruise control runs via vacuum actuator. It is possible that the shop missed the vacuum hose or reconncted it to a wrong port on the intake manifold (you have to disconnect them all before getting to the spark plugs and valve cover seals)..
