Default 2002 Montero Limited ISSUE

Hello everyon
I am new to the forum, but have own my 02 and 88 montero for a bit. Happy to be apart of this Mitsu Monteros fam. Maybe someone can help me resolve some problems i am havin with my vehicles. My 2002 limited has been having a code which were the P0102, P0113, and I believe it also got a code that is making the vehicle run to rich. This started with a mistake I made in changing the mass air flow sensor with an aftermarket autozone brand. I do not have the OG sensor anymore. I have been driving the Monti like this for a couple of months, since the only thing I saw was gas consumption. Recently the car has been shaking and ruff iddlelin only when it's on Drive, or Reverse. If the car is on Neutral, it will iddle normal with no shaking at all. Does anyone know anything about this? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Both codes you list are related to the MAF sensor on air intake. Since you say both codes showed up soon after replacing MAF, I'd try to figure out that issue before trying to adress the shaking and rough idle. Easiest things first - check condition of your air filter. Is is clean or plugged up? If all good there, check connector and wiring on the MAF sensor. If still no improvement, you may need to consider that you got a defective sensor. It's possible that you may be able to claim some warranty on it.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes I have done all of the above. Further talking with some mechanics (experts) they suggested to try and get the OG MAF sensor from another Montero. Hopefully the codes will go away. Do you think this can be related to the bas shaking it does when in drive?

Don't know about shaking. That sounds like a misfire. But it may not set the additional error code for thay because it's capturing first big codes and goes into the open loop mode. Just in case, check that the spark plug wires are plugged in the right order (stamped on the top of the intake manifold by the coils) and that spark plug boors are seated all the way down.

I will definitely check the wires if maybe they came loose. Can it possibly be the timing coming out of place? I did both of these repairs by a pro about a year and half ago and everything seemed good at the time.

Timing belt issue will not be related to the MAF. Fix one, then see if the other issue still persists or not.
