Can anyone tell me if there is a charcoal canister on a 2003 Montero LTD?

 

God, there must be, as it's a part of the emissions control system. Sorry, I'm just not certain where it's stowed for your year. On mine, it's on the back right side near the brake master cylinder. There should be a black vacuum hose that runs from your air intake plenum to it, by way of purge valve; not the hose attached to the PCV. Hope this helps out.
