Default 2003 Montero 3.8 liter: where is camshaft position sensor ???

2003 year Montero 3.8 liter will crank but not start. It's the camshaft position sensor. I've checked other stuff and my RPM isn't moving when starting either. Where is the camshaft sensor? Can't find the location anywhere online. This is a 3.8 liter version, 2003 year.

I have a manual for the 3.8L 6G75 engines. It shows the sensor to be on the rear of the drivers cylinder head where the cam thrust plate and o-ring is. It is Item 4.

On my 3.5L 6G74 the cam position sensor is located at the front of the drivers cylinder head and there is a notched pickup wheel on the back side of the pulley.

Hope this helps.

Yes that does help. It's on the drivers side rear of the motor, in a nice easy spot to access, like all the other timing parts. Lol. Thanks much!
