I have a 2003 Montero XLS (full size) with an idle problem. Starts out fine, but when I stop it goes down to about 200 RPMs and then slowly climbs back up to 500-700. Stalls with air conditioning on. It does have a small valve cover leak, but that has been there for a while. The Montero Sport forums talk about cleaning the IAC valve and the throttle body. I downloaded a service manual for this model and there is no IAC valve listed. I looked at the manifold pressure sensor valve, but that was clean. I have not yet attempted to clean the throttle body. Any suggestions?
