2004 Montero Sport not starting but turns over after new battery just put in.
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero that has been sitting for 2 months, it started perfectly and strong 2 months ago, the original battery was dead when we started it so we jumped it that 2 months ago, I have a brand new battery in it now and it turns over beautifully now just not spark, I did put one of the cords to the block to see if there was a spark while having someone crank it, there's no spark at all. In the photo I added fuse #11 and fuse D I have no clue what they are, and I don't have a owners manual to look it up in that and I have spent hours looking online for some kind of clue.
Do a continuity test on your primary circuit from the starter to the fuse box and the fuse box to the ECM from the relay terminals. Undo the negative batt terminal and use a multimeter on the Ohms scale. If this checks out okay, you have a more serious wiring issue. Get some electrical contact spray and carefully open connectors in the circuit and spray them out. Examine the condition of the wires... the insulation often goes brittle and fall off allowing the wires to short out as they touch.
