Default 2004 Montero Sport Rotor Removal

I need to remove the right front rotor on my 2004 Montero Sport to have it turned due to a groove. I also plan to replace the pads on both sides. How do I remove the rotor? Looking at it, it appears I can just pull a few bolts and remove the rotor without having to pull the bearings, is this correct? Any help I can get is greatly appreciated.

Is yours 4-wheel drive? If so I believeyou have to remove and repack the bearingsin order toremove the rotor. Haven't done it myself though.

You have to remove the grease cover, stap ring, then the hub cover bolts. From there, remove the 2 phillip lock screws, then back out the adjustment collar. Upon reinstallation- the adjustment collar needs to be preloaded to over 100ft/lbs, backed off completely, and torqued to roughly 18ft/lbs. If this isn't done correctly- you will end up with excessive looseness of the wheelbearing after a afew hundred miles. Good luck!
