Default 32x11.50 BFG all terrain test and review

Just got some new tires a couple weeks ago and took them to the test on my 95 sr and I have to say im impressed with the performance of these tires offroad considering there an all terrain tire.

First I tested them in the desert mountains climbing some pretty steep hills and going thru some crazy V notches that my jeep buddies persuaded me into doing and the montero and tires did great! These tires do very well on the rocky stuff and grip really good.So thats a pass.

Second was the sand, they also did pretty good there to as long as you keep your momentum goin. there alittle slow in the sand but they get you through it decently.

Third was mud, If someone says these tires suck in mud well thats because this isnt a mud tire. And i would say they suck in the mud because I took these tires thru some good size mud pits that I normally wouldnt go thru and they performed ok. I didnt get stuck once. But they do pack in the mud quick and loose traction kinda fast in the mud but im not a mud bogger so It doesnt matter to me. So id give them a 3 outta 5 in deep mud.normal moderate mud they did just fine.

And lastly the HWY. these tires are nice and soft on the road and have really low road noise if any very impressed. and seem to be wearing evenly so far. All in all these tires are awesome for what I do and i highly recommend them. 32.11.5 is the biggest you wanna go on the stock 7.5 inch wide montero rim safely. Also changing from digi camo to A-TACS camo soon.

No sir i didnt air down for the tests, I wanted to test them at the normal psi. I dont think the average person carry's a compressor on board and usually just jumps off the hwy and hits the dirt/mountains for some offroading fun so I kinda wanted to test them in that kind of scenario. I had them at 40 psi during my test. If I would of aired down they would of performed even better. I do usually air down when i get into the rocks etc. though.

Good to know that they do well even at full pressure. The thread design does look like it will not do to well in the mud (just as you describe). It looks like a good all around tire for getting there and then playing some
