Default Running Weak

Hi
I have a problem with a Pajero -97 3.0 24v.
It always starts but when you press the accelerator pedal while driving so it does not happen so much. The engine has no power. If you make a kickdown it takes a very long time before it comes up to speed. And it loses power on the slopes when driving.
Feels like chewing gum if you know what I mean.

I changed the timing belt, spark plugs, and water pump just, but the error already existed before.
I bought the car unseen from a car dealer in Northern Sweden with a cracked manifold. It is fixed. The dealer did not know much about the car.
Anyone have a good tip?

best regards
Ronny

pull the fuel pump from the tank and check the hose from the fuel pump to the pipe it is about 3 inches long they rot and cause a loss in fuel pressure creating your symptoms

I agree with mxmikie - sounds like a fuel delivery problem.

A little update,
Took the fuel pump assembly from my -94, replaced the hose from the pump to the fuel filter.
Fitted it with a new catalyst.
But .... no difference.
It has perfect idle, and starts instantly.
It runs best at low rpm, but as soon as you try to accelerate it happens almost nothing. If I make a kickdown so it accelerates but not as it should.
If I give it gas stagnant, I think that it behaves fairly normal.
It has a fairly high intake sound, but I have on my -94 too, and it works fine.
Then I have a strange sound in the engine compartment, it sounds a bit like a fishing boat.
And finally, there are no error codes.

I'm going crazy ....

What could it be? EGR ?, throttle body?

:-(

Can this be caused by exhaust back pressure too high?
