Montero Sport 2003 Petrol/Auto - 4WD light flashes time to time. It goes off after about 10mins, but comes back again. when it's blinking small noise also coming. My mechanic checked the solenoid switch and said it's working. ABS light also comes ON when 4WD flashes.

When enter 4L or 4H, no issues...light stays on and 4WD works.

What can be the error?
Is it ok to run whilst this light flashes?
