I have my sights on one of two mitsu Montero's :
1990 v6 5 door 4x4 silver, new engine great shape
or
1985 4 cyl 3 door 4x4 red, rebuilt motor good shape

I am leaning towards the 5 door as it also has working r-12 ac, but 15 years ago I owned a 87 raider 3 door and loved the looks.

I am a new member to this forum. Pics on way after I make purchase, would like to hear your thoughts. particularily about the 3000cc v6, which I know nothing about. both are 5 speeds.

bought the 90 5 door long box v6 model. 180k, but newer motor. Just passed smog and registered her. Its going to be 115 degrees today and over the weekend here in las vegas so I went ahead and changed out the 4 year old battery before it decides to strand me with my toddler in the heat. Other than a belt squeal and the usual loose shift lever, the truck performs great. AC is cold, seats comfy, tires at 80 % I feel I can safely sell my car with pymts and drive the Montero daily. Say hey. I'm a newbie. My third Montero tho, I had a 87 raider 3 door and a new 97 Montero sport. Great vehicles.

 

Love my 90 5dr box. It's been a labor of love, but worth it. I get compliments on it all the time. Congrats!
