Hi guys...

My son thought he could get our 96 Montero Sport to drift so he says he was really pushing the poor thing hard and messed up tranny

i recorded a short video (23 seconds) so you can see and hear whats going on... maybe you guys have had or have heard this problem before and can give your opinion as to what might be the problem.

Please notice at the very end going from reverse to park, the shifter moves forward by itself...

ohhh... also notice the sound that happens ONLY when going from reverse back to park... kinda sounds like a motor or actuator..???

 

ohh ya... dummy me... it will not go into any gear.. forward or reverse.
