98 montero sport door lock problem

hello,
i have a 98 montero sport, and whenever i unlock the door, there is a loud buzzing sound coming from the door panel.
it seems to me that it is a faulty solenoid/actuator. i was wondering if anyone knew where to purcahse this solenoid for my 98 montero sport other than from the dealer.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

I have the same problem. I have a '97 Montero Sport. My husband plans on taking the door panel off to
see if it he can figure it out.

Yea, I opened the door panel and it seems to be the solenoid in the bottom corner of the door. Noise is strong as I get closer to it.

Need to know where to buy this part...anyone?

hmmm, that place www.mitsubishiparts.net doesn't seem to carry this. the dealer wants $222 for this!!! They say its the acutuator. Anyone know where I can get this cheaper? Thanks again.
