New here! I recently acquired this 99 "Monty" from a very good friend of mine who didn't have the time to complete this build. with two young kids and relocating in the near future, my buddy trailered it to me over 1000 miles from IL to FL.
Not knowing very much about this, I will give it my best shot to get this working for a occasional off road vehicle. The good is that it runs fine, he did the timing belt, water pump plugs etc.. so that a big start. He started on the brakes; I still have the drivers front to complete. There are so many new parts in the back, uninstalled, SS skid plates, 6 row radiator, Upgraded alternator, etc..

From what I read this is a great year?

First things on my list are to finish the brakes.
Get the two window regulators replaced and try to get some air flowing inside it's hot in Florida.
currently no A/C (everything is there) or any blower fan at the moment. replacing the dash switches also.
put all these new parts on it. Lift kit, Shocks, Skid plates, Lights...

also, the 2wd light is flashing for the front wheels. intermittingly

I put a new battery in it last week, and drove it to the tag office to it all registered. windshield getting replaced next week.




I might need some help with this one..
